Grant Preisser - General Manager
Grant Preisser brings a wealth of production experience and business acumen to the role of General Manager for Angels & Demons Entertainment, with a diverse career across music, theater, design, and education. Having received his undergraduate in voice from Florida State University (FSU), Grant served as production coordinator for Florida State Opera and then shifted focus and attained a graduate degree in interior design. After establishing himself as a designer and design educator, Grant returned to FSU to complete another masters degree in opera stage directing. This allowed him to marry his passion for music and design, assistant directing productions of Don Giovanni, and L'incoronazione di Poppea, designing the set and projections for Postcard from Morocco, and directing and designing outreach projects adapting Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and premiering Lori Laitman's abridged version of her children's opera The Three Feathers.
Grant recently directed and designed a double bill of Campbell and Bolcom's Lucrezia and Ferrer and Piazzolla's tango operita Maria de Buenos Aires. He also spent the 2016 summer season at the Music Academy of the West, assisting with the administration of the voice program and providing production assistance on Matthew Aucoin's Second Nature and Smetana's The Bartered Bride. In the coming 2016-2017 season Grant will be directing and designing The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat for UrbanArias, will serve as the season scenic designer at Opera Orlando for their productions of Don Pasquale, Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Don Giovanni, for which he is also providing the costume design, and continue to assist the Florida State Opera Outreach program in their 2017 productions.
